Patrick Welch, aged 25, and John Welch, aged 25, found guilty of High treason in counterfeiting coin of the Realm (1/- and 6d pieces) in the parish of Hatfield (otherwise Bishops Hatfield) on 10th August 1784.  The sentence for treason included being drawn to the place of execution.
